I’m Jo Scott-Dalgleish, a BANT Registered Nutritionist who writes and gives talks about nutrition for endurance sports, such as triathlon, cycling and running. I have a BSc (Hons) in Nutritional Therapy and regularly attend educational events and conferences about sports nutrition. I’m passionate about helping people participating in endurance sports to be as healthy as possible while they pursue their performance goals.
In this blog, I write about a variety of topics such as nutrition for fueling and recovery, the benefits of certain foods and nutrients for performance, how to periodise your nutrition in line with your training and racing, and tips for addressing common nutritional problems, such as GI distress during races. I also provide occasional recipes and explain why they are appropriate for endurance athletes. My posts are based on up to date nutrition and sports science research, with references provided.
Nutritional consultations for endurance athletes
I also work as a Registered Nutritional Therapist with runners, triathletes and cyclists on a one to one basis to help them eat well, be healthy and perform better through the creation of an individual nutrition plan, based around their performance goals, health status and lifestyle choices. I have a private practice based in Chiswick, West London.
